Drag and drop MIDI clips?? (mac)

Post by mile » Sat Nov 13, 2004 2:15 pm

It seems that it's not possible to drag and drop MIDI clips from Finder into the Arrangement view. Is this true?

If yes then what do you think is the easiest way to work with Stylus MIDI files?

Thanks for any help! (I did a search and found nothing on this)

Drop em in just fine here..make sure you're dragging onto a midi track and make sure you're dragging the midi file and not the folder they're sometimes enclosed in.

might be talking about two different things here...

-> drag and drop from the Finder works fine, as muthafunka pointed out. You can also just set one of the live directories to have its 'root' wherever your midi files are, and load them from within Live....

-> drag and drop from Stylus RMX to Live directly is not currently working... at least, not in the OSX version....

The workaround is to drag and drop to a Finder window first, then into Live from there. It's an extra step, but it does the job...

I've also heard a fix is in the works......
