Could you describe where you're stuck ? I don't know anything about the lite version though.

BTW for any Oslo people in here we've got the open laptop night at Taxi this friday. so for this of you who want to see some Live action should check it out.

Quick question (this is probably in the manual but I'm in work..)

I've assigned a few buttons to the different chopper dummy clips I have made and unchecked 'select on launch'. This works fine BUT when I trigger them the scene focus jumps to that track. Is there a way to stop this from happening - just trigger the dummy clips and keep the focus on the scene I'm using?

Cheers

the main issue is when i assign a beat repeat i can't just group it into an effects rack, and when i add an effects rack, it doesn't seem to be the right kind. um....other than that the only thing i'm wondering is would this way of chopping the drums work using audio clips instead of midi clips?

Yeah, that might not be all that clear from the text.

"Chopper" is the name of the effect rack containing the beat repeat effect. If you haven't renamed it in this way it might be called "audio effect rack" or something like that. Take a look at the title bar of the enclosing rack.

Hi!

I see! However, I have now tried for two consecutive nights to get this set up and it doesn't work. It woould be quite hard to describe exactly what it is that doesn't work, but i has to do with the macros. The frustrating thing is that i do understand all the things I am supposed to do, but efter I've gone through the steps it doesn't work and settings I could have sworn were correct are missing.

I would really appreciate if someone could upload the als. for version 6.

I'll see if I have the time to make a Live 6 version next week.

My computer got busted up at the last OK computer event so my Live 6 copy isn't even authorized yet :( . I'll get around to it soon I hope.

For you live people in Oslo, we'll have a special big christmas OK computer at Hausmania on saturday 29/11. We got a really cool line-up of live computer musicians for a night full of electronic music. Hopefully my computer will survive this or I'm gonna be pretty broke for the new year :D

Thanks. This is very useful. How did you figure out what percentage value of the envelope to set for each Grid setting?

When the Grid setting is mapped to the macro you can adjust the envelope and observe the change in the Beat Repeat effect. A couple of times back and forth and you should be set.

When the envelope controls the Grid setting directly you can only see that some more of the knob is "filled in". The envelope is stepped though so I guess you can just count how far to set it (although the triplet setting might interfere with this).

Is it not possible for someone who is on version 7 to "save as" in an older format, e.g. version 6?
