interesting, sounds like some of Henke's work.

I take it she's not a stripper... the other kind of dancer, the one not 'putting herself through college.'

well, she makes dance-pieces about toothaches with topless dancers for example:

really pretty good actually. sounds like theres a little clipping though here and there, is that intentional?
I really like the "the sound is alive" vibe you got going on there, like the song is writing itself

I would definetly be interested in hearing a little about your method.
It was as if someone shook up a 6 foot can of blood soda and suddenly popped the top.

ok, the pieces mentioned above were done in one session.
One was starting with an arpeggiatored operator, feeding some classical piano-midifile backwards into it, recording a bit.
The other one was starting with the bass-loop and doing some crazy glitchy drums over it. It's the kamoni drumkits, the "grinder-kit", that he gave a way for free the other day.

Then I have this effectrack in a send that has a combination of beatrepeat, a pitch plug-in, a very short delay with an erosion-plug, and a flanger or chorus. I control it with the Wiimote. So while I playback the stuff recorded in a first take I use that for a all the glitches, shaking the wiimote, pressing the buttons which is big fun. The Wiimote is such a great controller for glitches, delays, filters etc. You don't write automation, you play it like cabasas, shaking the thing with your hands.
And then there is another send with an autofiltered delay that I can open with one knob on the wiimote. This is the one that clips. Not intended, I need to tweak that one!!

I have to record that second going-over-it into a new clip, because when I record into arrangement live crashes because the Wiimote generates an incredible amount of automation-data.

Here is what we did yesterday when we made a little rehearsal for the concert we have tomorrow. we will do a live-improvisation with a group of friends (http://www.myspace.com/territoriocomanche).
The guys from Territorio Comanche brought this little casio, and in the end we were rocking over one of the presets of that toy. Big laugh!!

We spent 1 hour in a rehearsal studio in Berlin, jammed a lot, recorded some bits, and came up with the quickest band to get myspacified. All was done tonight.

This will never happen again, we promise, so visit our page while it's still there:

twangy guitars, funky rthm and NY-compression, a big laugh on monday night. Inspiration came from the new Grace Jones song "Corporate Cannibal":
