I used to do this type of sequence back when I was trying to emulate Tangerine Dream or Klaus Schulze. The main thing is to use a short delay that is not quite synced to the beat. Play around with the delay time until each note in the 4/4 pattern has an echoed note immediately following it, but not so it becomes a straight eighth note pattern.

You mean about the mp3 I put up? It's not a production contest, I just upload the basic arp and use the 1st sound I got my hands on.

This post has me hugging my SH101 right now. The ancient sequencer on that thing is very very good for programming Moroder/computer disco basslines. I'd program by hand without a VST.

Interesting post... I haven't played with EnergyXT, but I know you can get midi from one application to another with midi yoke:

At least moving midi date from Fruity Loops to Live it works this way.

Hey Ishimaru : is that the Roland SH101? So are you just running the midi out from that into Live, or do you also use the sounds on board? Just curious, that might be a neat keyboard to start looking for on Ebay.[/b]

Been checking some interviews and from what I gathered, this whole tune was built with moog synths. Probably a moog modular or so.

Tried it once but each time I install it, logic doesn't wanna boot. Before I'd use huby's loopback device but it doesn't on XP.

I read an interview with moroder and he said that the IFL bassline was done by making the beats slightly before or after the beat. I cant remember.

have a play.
