Very steam punk..
I think you should mod the whole set up out of wood and brass.

This looks great!!

So, inspired by this, I have just opened up my Trigger Finger to see how easy it would be to rehouse Zendrum stylee. It turns out, from the looks of it, incredibly easy (well apart from the actual woodwork of course, but luckily I too have access to a well-stocked workshop).
Interestingly the first things you see when you open it up is a web address printed on the pad sensor block... www.interlinkelectronics.com . From that I reckon these are the sensors used. There really isn't that much electronics in there at all, and certainly no more than say an arduino. I wish I had more time this weekend to think of interesting alternate configurations for this stuff...

FWIW, those are the same brand of FSR's the DrumKat used to use. I stumbled across this retail site a few months ago when I was thinking about a DIY Live controller.rozling wrote:Interestingly the first things you see when you open it up is a web address printed on the pad sensor block... www.interlinkelectronics.com . holy crap those things are much cheaper than I thought... and you can buy them individually! Cheers buddeh, a-Sketchup-ing I go... (why did I have to come across this the week the Stribe comes out)

This Faderfox thing is nice, so nice. To the OP - you really should consider selling them you know!

I have 3 faderfoxes, total £540 (about $850 I think). I would consider spending a bit more money to stop them shifting round my desk! And for something this pretty I'd spend quite a lot! But you're right, the OP says he put 4 months into this - I wouldn't spend enough to justify the effort that went into this piece.Tone Deft wrote: I'd say you could sell them but Faderfoxes are pretty expensive and the case had a lot of love and time put into it.
More likely is I'm going to attempt to make one myself (but not as well)

I failed to agree earlier. This is a very nice looking box. Those Neutrik connectors on the side are so freakin' handy when building boxes.adambam wrote:Hey, just shared this on another abe forum, but thought may be of interest here![]()

Oh man, that is tee-iight! The build and finish are both spectacular; you should be proud.
I think there's alot more scope in the world for custom-cased controllers. I'd be tempted to rip open my o2-8 and build a nice retro-wooden case for it. Tempted, aside from the fact that I have no woodwork or electornics experience at all! Epic fail.

Wow
Very nice indeed. Nice job. I am looking to do the same with my rig, once I have some extra money. Unfortunatley, I don't have the master carpenter in the family to help out.
Currently, I am making do with a $29 bbq tool set case, and can't wait to get this built into something proper.
