amplitube2 vst not showing up in plug-in devices on Mac

Hi,
I recently moved from PC to Mac and don't know so much about it yet so maybe I've missed something stupid...
I just installed AmpliTube2 but its not showing up in Live 6 under Plug-In Devices.
The weird thing is I can see a file called AmpliTube2.vst in the folder Library->Audio->Plug-Ins->VST. I have activated the default VST folder in Live preferences and clicked on rescan many times. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Amplitube. I have rebooted my Mac. I have drunk a beer. Why can't live see the file as a VST plugin??!

Hi,

please make sure your version of Amplitude is Intel Mac compatible, otherwise it can´t be used on a newer Intel Mac.
