The Ghost Machina - Rock/Pop/Electronica

I've noticed a lot of Dance/Techno music being made with Ableton, but not much Rock, Pop, or "mainstream" music. Below is something a little different then what you might be used to from music made with Ableton.

I use Ableton Live as the heart of my live show. It sequences backing tracks (mainly consisting of beats and sound FX's) and records/loops different live performance guitar /vocoder parts.

I've been producing and playing in Rock bands for almost 20 years. It's only been in the last year or so I've gotten more into electronic, rap, hip-hop and trip hope type music. So this is what has come out of it...

Really cool stuff, man! I'm enjoying 'When the summer sets' right now...

I can really relate to what you're saying, I too just got more into electronica, trance/dance/techno, etc. only a few years back. I've played guitar for almost 15 years, and co-founded several alternative rock/punk rock bands over the years out of Edmonton, Alberta (noticed you're from Canada too). I even find our guitar styles along the same lines melodically, (even if my posted songs don't show it, I don't record everything). I don't have a lot of my alt/rock music posted up as of yet, but check out my reverbnation profile (in my sig) - songs like Strike Anywhere, Somewhere, Don't Let Go, and a couple others...

I am working right now on splitting the electronica/dance and alt/rock into two separate identities, as I feel it's not doing me any favours having it all under one umbrella anymore.

Anyway, I'm likin' the tunes!
