I want to hear more rock/pop/classical type songs!

Post by graceslick » Wed Nov 12, 2008 4:54 am

I just want to hear anyone's music (even if it's not totally finished or perfectly polished) that isn't techno, trance, dance or ambient chill out stuff.

I don't really have any interest in that sort of music. I came onto this section of the forum to listen to some songs and compare them to my own budding creations, but nobody's doing anything like my songs!

My songs are just rock/pop/classical influenced.

There are some songs on my band's myspace page... Proprietors of the Earth. We use Live when we perform to trigger backing tracks, add FX to vocals and guitar, live looping, and more. I'll be posting a full length video from a recent show soon.

Some of my songs are definitely more on the rock/pop side than others. I cover a wide range of styles, I think, including the trance/dance stuff, to a more alternative hard rock/pop sound. If you like, check out my reverbnation profile, and check out:

Strike Anywhere
Somewhere
Believers
Frost Bite

These are my more rock/pop songs (me playing guitar), although they are still somewhat electronica based....

Where can I hear yours?

I often feel like I'm the odd man out here because my stuff doesn't really sound like the stuff posted here. Check out my tunes. While they're 95% electronic, they tend to be influenced more by traditional song structures.

Jeez, thanks a bunch! Those comments helped brighten this rainy day (now if only Child's Play 2 would return ITSELF to the video store).

I have some acoustic stuff along with metal, rock, and electronic on my page, check it out. i also love hearing more instrument live stuff captured by ableton. It's works so well when you mix the best of both worlds. Also check out myspace.com/dangerflight. we just finished our new ep, take a listen!
