crashing

every time i loadi an mp3 in to ableton live it will freeze and i will have to force quit, ive re-installed ableton live and ot was okay for a bit until now,its beginnig to freeze again, any solutions or shall i just use wav from now on, does anybody else have this problem

Shouldn't happen - I use mp3 with no issues (Live converts it all to wav anyway).

What version are you running and what are your machine specs?

live 7 updated, and using a macbook with 3gb ram, don't really understand may have to reinstall my mac

Definitely shouldn't happen with your set-up.
