/Users/.../Documents/Samples
12.13 gigs
Most of it is drums and some old Acid loop library I haven't had the heart to delete.

I keep all my samples on an external drive split in different folders, ie sample cd's, electronic critters, magazine samples etc. When I use a sample I save the ableton project so that the samples are saved inline with the project.

Sample collection is around 34gig. 5gig of this is my own electronic critters collections, 15 gig as commercial sampel collections and the rest is magazine samples and other random crap :-)

My samples get there own hard drive. It is about 160 gigs. I just keep things organized in folders by company and weather or not the samples are a component of a program or if they are just a sample library.

Sure, for organizational reasons. What you might be talking about is the Live temp directory. Remember that Live converts ALL audio (either from MP3s or consolidations or freezes) to wave so it can manipulate it, etc. and keeps a cache of it. You can limit it's size and limit access if space on your hdd reaches a critical point. You can also clear the cache which clears all the temp files. I remember once it was at 10GB or so.

I keep mine in a folder sure, though I'm pretty picky about what I save so mine's only 2.3GB.
