You actually need just one synth and some samples.

You don't need stuff. You need creativity, discipline, and time.

You've already got more than enough kit to start making Electro House.

Stop buying more, learn to use what you've already got and start making some tunes.

you probably have too much gear already. Sell it and use the money to get female actresses that are luscious babes to lounge around while you produce, it will make you seem why more legit.

You need to fill out and submit this form that's titled "Application to be the 1,234,655th Electro House producer". It has to be signed by the top 10 charting artists on beatport that week as well as a representative from Moog.

Once you receive your application back with the proper signatures you need to get Phat certified. This consists of making no less than 20 saw wave samples and putting them on a thumb drive. DO NOT USE THE SUPER SAW WAVE! These people are purists and don't like cheating.

Put your signed application and thumb drive in an envelope and mail off to Ed Banger. If everything is in order you should receive your application back in a few months with an official "Deadmau5 2006" stamp on it.

Then boot up Live and make sure it's the most recent update.

Sell all your gear. Buy a moog voyager (I have been getting some dirty saw from my NL2x recently) . Listen to a lot of electro for one day straight. Rest for a day. Stock up on tined food and beer and do not leave the computer for a week. Not even to wee wee.

Yeah dude, it's not about the gear you own, it's about the beer in your fridge :)

Although I skip the tinned phone in favour of a nearby phone to call in Thai and Pizza.

Too much choice is creativity's biggest enemy.

Seriously, learn one synth inside out completely, you will write much much better music.

Also I heard Imageline have some nice samples you can use for making electro house :)

You definitely need to go out and spend £1,700 on a Virus - it will be impossible to make electrohouse without it!

Seriously though, as everyone else has said (and considering your apparent lack of experience) - your gear list is serious overkill.

In the Live 7 suite, you have everything you need to make electrohouse.

As COSM says, learn one synth inside out - I recommend Operator - it'll do everything you need it to.

If you have that much money to buy gear, I would invest some money into paying a producer who teaches you on how to use it. Or even better: Someone who produces your ideas while you sit behind him and tell him which style/sound of electro-house you like most.
