More Music From Me

Post by graceslick » Tue Nov 25, 2008 9:48 am

Ok, I've worked out (I think) how to more easily upload my songs. They're in mp3 and they're on www.virb.com

If you go there, then type in Aunt Acid into the search, you'll find me and my album called I Don't Know Yet (it's only called this cause they make you choose a title and I've got no idea, as all my songs are only in experimental stages right now)

Thank you!

Wow. Not at all what I was expecting!! I guess I'm just so used to hearing electronic music created in Live, and the "Acid" in the name suggested something completely different to me!

Very nice, dreamy stuff. I'd like to hear a full song when you've done one!

Thank you!! Which ones did you listen to, may I ask? Did you have any particular one(s) you liked? I’m just trying to get some feedback. Is the timing really out? I’ve not used any sort of globalisation or quantisation or anything…it’s just me trying to hear the timings.

Yeah, Aunt Acid. Lol. It’s kinda funny…kinda punk/psychedelic name, but then also nerdy in that if someone in America says it, it’d sound like Antacid, the stomach stuff. lol

Antacid, LOL! Didn't spot that.

TBH I listened to all of it, but I was working and I had it on in a window in the background so I didn't see the track names while I listened. My favourite bit was (I think!) just piano and some ethereal vocal mostly. Very sweet.

Oh yeah, the vocal bit would've been Mr Moth Works at the Nose Factory. My names are quite strange. lol The vocal is just there to guide what eventually may be proper words and a melody.

I've put 2 more on there now. Breath of Indigo and Bunsen & Beaker go Snorkelling.

There are also 5 weird voice clips of an elderly woman leaving messages for her son on the phone...it's eventually going to be part of a song called Onion Foot. lol
