Ah NAMM... While I don't doubt that controllers will appear that will be supported by Live's incredibly flexible automapping protocol. I'm highly skeptical that a controller will appear that actually does something useful.
Although your post could be interpreted to have a little "nudge nudge, wink wink" in it and it would explain why my request for 2 little MIDI messages to make a grid controller without Max was denied.
And something is bound to come out of Ableton + Cycling.. Its been what? 2 Years?
