I'm gonna be back up in my favorite city from Dec 7-19, anything interesting happening that I should be aware of?

If you can get in a couple of days earlier, you can go to the Blip Festival:

LOL, did you seriously just ask if anything interesting is going on in NY? That's gotta be the dumbest question I've ever heard.

But seriously, yelp.com and going.com are your friends

Hello New York Ableton Users,

New event in December at Sam Ash Music on 48th Street!
When: Thursday, December 11th, 6 - 8 pm
Where: Sam Ash Music, 160 West 48th Street, NY, NY 10036

Sam Ash Presents: Focus on Tech House, Techno, and Minimal

Samuel Walker and Dave Hill of Ableton host the last User Group of 2008! This time we're going to get down to the basics of Ableton Live, with a focus on one of Live's biggest strengths: forward- thinking dance music.

Sam and Dave will show you how to use hardware controllers, build a track, create a DJ set and do a remix all in Ableton Live.
We'll also leave plenty of time for Q & A.

Sam Walker is an avid Live user who came to Ableton in 2006. He has a thorough knowledge of Live, both from his own use of it in his productions and teaching it to Ableton dealers.

Dave Hill has worked for Ableton since 2003 and currently manages Ableton's US office. Hill wrote Ableton Live 2 Power before coming to Ableton.

I don't think I can make it, but it is usually an interesting crowd of knowledgeable geeks.

Sebastian Tellier is playing on... the 11th I think. There there is a DJ night at Studio B the next night called Fake Blood that sounds kind of cool. I'm going to try to check those out and go to the UG at Sam Ash.

This store is three blocks from my office, we have the company "holiday" "gathering" at the same time this year. I'll probably jet early and head to the UG. Rather hang with audio freaks the IT geeks anyday.

I sneak out at lunch from time to time to jam on the voyager in the keys store. Love it.

How is your LP?
