I AM using my BCR almost like this already, but what if i want to launch one clip at the first scene select, and another clip at scene 3, at the same time?
I know what you are saying tho, and i totally agree. This is like how i look at most things in life actually, but for this, it will only go so far.
Then again, perhaps u weren't aiming at me.
So far im using only 2 clips per track, but a knob assigned to generative "chance", to raise it up and down, which causes a bit more variation, with the lack of more clips.
Been trying to avoid using a keyboard for clips, but im starting to consider it more and more..

8 tracks, 8 buttons, 1 knob.
assign the knob to scene select
assign the buttons to track launch buttons
done.
if you want to know which clip is playing, look at the #$%ing screen!! no monome needed, no touch screen needed, no Lemur, no waiting, no cash to be spent, nothing to build.
