Hi,
im running win xp sp3 on a macbookpro. Bootcamp 2.1.
ive installed 3 different audio interfaces ( novation nio, firewire 410 m-audio & audio 8DJ NI) I have no problems on OSX, but in XP i have audio glitches and drops permanently. Even playing a tune in winamp.
With the onboard interface everythings ok
i ve installed 3 different versions of XP.
same problem.
anyone have a clue? im getting nutz....
any data would help!

Do you have the Firewire hotfix for SP2 installed?

I am running the same config.
You have to do 2 things , which for sure will eliminate most if not all of you hickups.
1. Disable the wireless interface while you are making music
2. Kill the kbdmgr process (this is a big one)
For point 2 i made a little batchfile with the name KBDMGR_OFF.BAT that contains the following.
taskkill /f /t /im KbdMgr.exe
To restart after you are finished with music related stuff simply run kbdmgr.exe (in c:\program files\Boot Camp
p.s. Of course if the kbdmgr.exe is not running your bootcamp function keys do not work anymore for adjusting display brightness etc. Just re-enable / change setting / disable if needed. 2 icons on your desktop for this will make it a simple task.
