I have to keep my budget at like 400 USD MAX really looking to spend 300. I just dont have any surplus these days and I have to stop mixing on headphones it is killing my mixes.
Yeah I was just saying that the A7 are what I saved for. Here's a link to the HS80M's, these monitors get such great write ups. They are in your price range.

KRK RP5's are great if you're on a budget. They don't hit lows as well as more expensive monitors, but they sound great and make a logical upgrade for those who tend to mix with headphones.

they're mediocre and can't play at lower volumes, only loud.

Out of the

KRK Rokit P5 pair=$300
Behringer TRUTH B2030A = $300
Yamaha HS50M = $400

Which is the best for a step up from headphone mixing?

Is the yamaha worth the extra 100?

Much thanks already guys I really need to buy wisely as I am a po boy.

haha I KNOW!! but money is real short with me... so just adding 100 bucks here and there is an issue.

I heard you can get good value at like 3-400 and that if you really want good stuff you have to spend close to 1000 and that the in betweens arent worth the money.

I am not in a position to spend more, simple fact. Cannot do it.

When i was looking for my Monitors, i listened to the Yamahas and the KRK, and
i have to say that a: Monitors are a very subjective choice and b: i didn t like the
Yamahas at all. There is just no Bass on these.

The KRKs are good for the money imho, to get better, you have to spend quite a bit
more.

I ended up with Adam A7s, if you can afford the A5s they should be worth listening to,
but if money is tight - you will love the KRKs, they are very workable.
