Sending arbitrary Midi CC data

I did notice that it is possibe to send arbitrary MIDI CC to VSTs from clip envelopes. Can this also be done from the track envelopes? I would like to have several MIDI tracks point to the same VST. Some VSTs also don't have a seperate list of automatable parameters and can be controlled through MIDI CC only. Can they be used from within Live?

I am not sure I got your questions right, but

You can route several MIDI Tracks at the same time into a VST. Read the Routing section of the manual for details.

You can use MIDI CCs in Arranger Tracks as part of Clips only.

To control MIDI CC messages is the responsibility of the VST. You might want to look into the MIDI Remote control system of Live. There you might find some workarounds.

I figured so much... and it's highly annoying. It must be quite simple to make it work for track envelopes too.

I think it's a bit silly that I have to find a workaround for something as basic as this.
