hey, thanks for all the compliments, hope you all had a good laugh!
crumhorn: good lyrics, wanna add vocals?
keep the original silent night melody, or stamp the wham one on it, add it in a kind of telephone style and the whole thing clashes even more X-)

8O wrote: :) - sounds like the Cantina band with David Lynch as conductor - that's a compliment btw
this one was great.
now i'm constantly thinking about lynch standing in an orchestra pit, and doing his signature hand moves while conducting an alien band... nothing but brilliant.
Rave wrote: haha mad.

I have been toying with it for an hour and achieved nothing apart from constantly whistling the melody now
that's actually a side effect the whole support team suffered from today.
you can actually cure it by resetting your ears listening to youtube videos of the '98 thunderdome x-mas edition cd compilation.

btw: there really is no direct english translation for ohrwurm, right?

cheers,
dom

In Danish that's called an ørehænger - I think that makes at least a tiny bit of sense in Deutch, neh?

this is really amazing.
where exactly did it crash?
and whatcha think? crashing because of the pure absurd sonic fingerprint or problem with the file? :)
just did a lazy convert using itunes.

Dom's masterful rendition of a Wham classic - now devoid of "rapid"-share:

i'm hijacking the thread with this worm, but opening a new one for this is a bit over the top... :)
ørehænger is as good as ohrwurm, would be ohrhänger in german, still far better than "catchy tune"
actually the earwig exists as an english term, but it does not get used for the catchy tune reference. why not? can we start that as a global movement, please?

"The German word Ohrwurm has the derived meaning "an annoying tune which I can't get out of my head" (see earworm)."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dermaptera

and i totally i love the usage of "annoying" in the description while millions out there try to create the ohrwurm of their life to pay the rent.

cheers,
dom

p.s.: thanks for granting that little bastard tune asylum. it really should not stay where it was between all the warez and the pr0n. i lost it somewhere but it was ment to be art X-)

Cheers! Still needs a bit of work - some automation on the samples, proper breakdown in the middle, better mixing/synths at the end, but it's a start... The tune is driving me nuts though!
