Seq Remote buttons on CME UF6 do not work with Live...?

Post by de Haan » Sun Dec 07, 2008 9:10 am

Hi there

I have got a CME UF6 master midi keyboard. The kayboard has got six seq remote buttons (play, stop, record etc.).

The keyboard is connected to my computer through the Edirol UM-1EX, and all of the faders and knobs work properly, but not the seq remote buttons :(

The manual says that these buttons send MTC-data...

Is there anything in Live I have to turn on?

Please help me!

Thank you

... A Cubase-user who also uses the keyboard hastold me in another forum that I have to give my sequencer (Live) some definitions of what different MTC-codes should do.

How do I do this in Live (is it possible?)?

Not possible at the moment unless you use middleware.
Ableton’s engineers are hard
at work developing code that will allow our software to predict the future, but we don’t
anticipate having this available until at least the next major release.

Do you know if Bome's Midi Translator Classic is the right one for my purpose?

I have installed Bome's Midi Translator and Midi Yoke.

There is a preset for Ableton 6, which I have tried.

But Ableton does not recieve any MIDI-data at all :(
I have told Ableton ro recieve midi from MIDI Yoke 1.

Can anyone you help me?...
