How Much is a casio sk-1 worth?
in american hahahas= dollars
I have one and I'm thinking of selling or trading but i don't know what to ask for it.
here are the caveats
no battery door-but it's never been a problem
3 of the black keys are loose-but the keys work and trigger just fine, they are just very loose.
no power supply
everything on it ie the sampler and other stuff works just fine.
some one give me some ideas

depends on how you sell it.
Lets see:
- it is a vintage synthesizer.
- it has been used by Depeche Mode, Tangerine Dream, Yes, Yellow, Peter Gabriel, Trent Reznor,...
( add any name from the 80s here you can remember ! )
- it has analog outputs.
- it has a build in sampling memory.
- it was the first afordable sampler, but it uses the same technology as what has been used in the Fairlight, Synclavier, Emulator II, and PPG System.
--> so it is totally okay to put all those names in the headline.
- it can do advanced low-fi sounds.
- it has a multi function digtial display. ( i mean it must have at least an LED somewhere, right? )
- it is in MINT condition, from a non smoking environment.
- it comes with full documentation ( just copy some manuals, they do not need to be from the SK1 )
Good luck.

they cost about 30 quid when I was growing up back in the UK. They are not rare, and even in mint wouldn't fetch much. They were pretty cool for lofi sampling back in the day though

Obviously big up the item like Robert says
Have been looking at these myself, and I've seen them on Ebay recently going for between £40 and £80 - approximately $60 to $120 based on current exchange rates.
The ones geting top money have been in good condition with manuals and boxes though.

I got my sk-8 for $4.99 at a thrift store
.
sk-1's typically go for around $60-80 from what I've seen. but being that a couple of keys on yours are loose and it's missing the battery door you could probably only get $40-50 for it I would think.

I was just going to say, sell it to someone who's looking to circuit bend, as they'll probably pay higher for it. A lot of the dumb noise-rock hipsters that I know had no qualms about paying over $150 for it. Of course, whoever does the bending will probably pay less, but you should still be able to catch on to that premium.
With that in mind, maybe Craigslist is a better route?

They're worth about 35 Euros work out the dollar$ yourself the price is creeping up together with the Speak & Spell series they are the most popular and awesome targets for Circuit Bending. After a good bending job they're worth much more. The sound is a bit muffled (low sampling rate) but there is a simple mod (soldering one resistor and cutting another one) to bypass the anti-aliasing filter after which it sounds much brighter.
best spyware recommendations?.....Freeeee
i second the dude that said craigslist

I can't imagine why anyone would pay $100 for one when you can get one any day of the week on ebay for $60-$75
case and point:

anyone willing to pay more needs to learn how to use ebay.
