Mainly the only part was when Nino used a little girl as a bulletproof vest. Kind of borrowed the idea from Frankenstein. Many crime movies such as Scarface, and Goodfellas kind of almost make the movie where the criminal is kind of the hero in an ironic sense. Even though Nino was a clearly bad guy from the beginning of the movie, he seemed to kind of have a little human qualities and some people probably even rooted for him. But the child scene was probably created to turn everybody against him at the end to let you know the guy was a monster willing to do anything to achieve his goals.

A little New Jack City deconstruction. Nice. I personally find the Chris Rock crack scene a little creepy.

Alright, some of my votes:

Silence of the Lambs: Hannibal Lecter: the greatest villain ever besides the Joker.

Cujo: Incredible acting job by the dog.

It: Don't know if it's still scary today, but it freaked the shit out of me when I was younger. Fucking clowns.

Cape Fear: Houseboat scene.

Snow White: A Tale of Terror: It's actually pretty good.

One of the creepiest movie murders I saw is where you actually didn't see the person die but you saw I guess his final outcome.

HBO series Oz.

This was a hour long prison drama series in the late 90's to early 2000's.

The part that was really sick was how two psycho inmates wanted to kill an Italian Mob boss who was basically had the majority of the power in the prison. The Mob boss who was a pretty ruthless guy just had too much power and Oriley and Adebice (an Irish and African thug) teamed up to try to take this guy out.

They couldn't just walk up and kill the guy (the guy had too much protection or the mere act of doing that they would easily be identified). Oriley who worked in a shop decided to take broken glass and grind it up into a fine dustlike powder (pretty harmless looking stuff about the same consistency as sand). Adebice worked in the kitchen would sprinkle a small amount of the stuff in the mob bosses food at each mealtime. They would then afterwards play cards with the guy to see if it is affecting them. For a while hardly anything happened except for the mob guy complaining from some mild indigestion. Oriley and Adebice even argue about whether or not the stuff is working. But one day while their playing cards the mob guy looks terrible and complaining on indigestion suddenly curls up on the floor. The creepy part is how concerned Oriley and Adebice try to act. When the mob guy gets up to get escorted to the medic you can see his nose bleeding and tiny speckles of blood enlarging on his prison shirt.

Some time later the Boss wakes up in the medic area and see Oriley greeting him letting him know he got a job in the medic and his job was to feed him. The last scene was Oriley feeding the guy.

Ridley scott and geigers Alien original. Makes SAW look like a joke. Fear with genius behind it, not idiotic chainsaw junk. They don;t make movies like alien anymore. Too much thought process involved.

Movies now a days don't really scare me, but when i was a kid these films definitely did the damage:

Salem's Lot
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=eC5HZzjjI9Y
My dad let me watch this when i was about 4 or 5. Check out "the masters" face.
Couldnt go upstairs on my own for a while after that

The Exorcist
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=SsOjNZY88k8
I seem to remember it was banned in the UK for a long time, but some kid at school had a pirated VHS that did the rounds one winter. Anyways The movie didnt really creep me out, but i remember when i first saw that sequence with the subliminal face freaked me out a little.

The Evil Dead
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=u8Bi9mGv1J8
Just brutal when your 8 years old, in the house on your own in a dark room

Pet Cemetery
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=oV4nwwgVEc4
Quite a good flick, but the creepy sister in that clip REALLY was unpleasant.

IT
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=ZcW_FbNG1 ... re=related
Terrible ending, but quite an unerving story - i believe there's a remake being done now.

Twin Peaks
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=_B5pE1DEHyk
Not a movie. This scene, in fact any scene with BOB in it scared me a little.

A made for for TV movie from the 80's, banned in the UK, about what would happen if a nuclear weopan went off in the UK. Watched this last year and it is possibly one of the most disturbing things i have seen. Is rather slow to get going, but once it does

Good stuff jeskola. I really need to see 'Threads'. What makes 'It' work for me is the incredible performance by Tim Curry as Pennywise the clown -superb!

Check out Stephen King's 'Storm of The Century', it gets my vote as the best TV adaption of a work by Stephen King.

You're daddy must be a bit like my mama, she let me watch all kinds of scary monster movies when I was a kid! :D I'll always be grateful to her for that.

Latest creep-fest:
Dead Birds
The Cradle

both worth a look... both slow & creepy

Why would that have been banned?

The Face of Another, 1966 [Tanin no kao] -Japan

directed by Hiroshi Teshigahara, with an excellent experimental score by Toru Takemitsu

If you appreciated Eyes Without A Face [Les Yeux Sans Visage] mentioned previously in this post, or the works of David Cronenberg, then you owe it to yourself to see this cinematic masterpiece of alienation & identity loss.

I always thought that evil dead was a comedy...
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=R9o9Pp1Ej ... re=related

And is it right that the game serious SAM was based on the main character in evil dead?
Or am i wrong here?
