I agree with the above post... I had to get out Absynth 4 and throw in some samples.... Don't underestimate that synth its still very powerful... I have Kore 2 and also the Best of Absynth and those patches are all good... and have the sound variation pads and have the macros mapped which is very nice..... This is a good price for Alchemy also especially for those that own their other products....

I also have Omnisphere and those guys have to be afraid that this synth will take up some of their extra sales around Xmas time..... I will purchase Alchemy and feel very lucky to have both of these synths.... I'm sure the guys behind Omnisphere will be checking out Alchemy as well for their own excitement..

I wish they would put a date on this release I hate looking at they're site twice a day.... But it keeps tempting me to purchase Camel Space and Camel Phat....

Absynth is certainly still one of my favs, but I'm wondering if I'll ever want to open it instead of Alchemy for my own sound design. Although they are both very powerful and Absynth sounds great, Alchemy looks like it's in a different league usability-wise. I guess we'll see.

That's right I did read somewhere I think KVR that it will be released before Xmas. Did you see something that said sooner. Nevermind your saying 5days before winter right. I did read that the above was said before Xmas.

Actually winter officially starts Dec.21.
Thank fuck someone else posted that so I don't have to look like a pedantic arsehole.

edit: just realised that could read as a bit of a dig - it's not, I genuinely would have posted it if you hadn't!

No worries, the Camel guys also said recently they still planned on releasing it before winter, in a thread that was specifically referring to the Dec.21 mark. So in this case, that date actually means something hopefully! :D

me want. coincidentally symbolic sound are supposed to be announcing a new product any day now that'll be a more affordable version of the kyma/kapybara system. unless it has some new super-amazing software involved, alchemy looks like it'll hold its own.

Yes, this looks like a nice compliment to Omnisphere. The one thing Omni lacks is the ability to import samples.

Looks like a good replacement for omnisphere to me! But I probably wouldn't want to think that if I had just spent 500 bucks on omni either.
