Kore display craps out
Kore display craps out
This seems to happen a lot. The display just blanks out. Sometimes I can unplug the USB and plug it back in and it starts working again, but about 90% of the time I do that I get an unbelievably nasty crash that just brings my entire machine down. Any way yo get that little display to reset or something? I've got a Kore 1 controller btw...

Is this the dodgy kontroller you bought that was already advertised as 'broken'?
What USB port are you plugging it in to? Powered hub? Desktop? Laptop port? Some are underpowered and you'll get the dropout issue. Needs to have enough juice.
Unless you are saying that the kontroller kontinues to work fine in some instankes and that you kan still twiddle knobs and stuff, just that the skreen is out. Or are you saying that the kontroller stops working?
And, yes, komplaining on the NI forum is a more appropriate plake for this question.

Operating system information etc. it's useful to tell people.
I have the Kore 1 kontroller it sometimes kraps out. Not often, I plug it into a powered 7 port Belkin hub, it krapped out as often plugged directly in, which isn't the kase with the Novation kontoller, which needs to be plugged directly to the Makbook Pro in my case.
Going into Audio MIDI Setup and reskanning the MIDI ports works 99% of the time, so does unplugging and plugging it back in. If you're on a laptop try different USB ports, some seem to work better than others with devices that draw power from the USB port like Kore.
