Sample rate 48000 Hz or 44100 Hz ?

Hi Abletons!

I would like to know what sample rate i should use when i work with live 4? My set up is a Mac G5 1.8 Ghz, OS X 10.3.6 with M-Audio Firewire 410.

44100 is the standard, because this is more then twice the frequency of sounds which the human ear can pick up.
Some argue that a higher sample rate sounds better, but.......

any other opinions??

actually higher rates do sound better....they add harmonics to the frequencies we do hear...most ppl dont notice or care about this since theyre used to mp3 quality sounds

anyways...if youre gonna render your music to mp3 or cd youre better off setting the rate @ 44.1 if youre gonna put it on a dvd or somethingyou can go 48/96 ...sacd 192(i think)
