Post by charles2377356 » Wed Dec 17, 2008 12:29 am

Hi

is there a way to type lyrics into ableton and have them kept on the screen?

Or is there a way to type in into a txt file and open in in ableton to have along side your session?

i think i saw one guy trying to replace the lesson bar with txt but not sure how he did it

Any info would be great

thanks

yes there is.

i have no idea how. should not be difficult.

should be the same method used to create Lessons. so that when you bring up your project, the lyrics are in the same place(the far right side of the screen) as the lessons would be.

if you could the lyrics to change with the timing of the song that would be even sweeter.

make a track with fake clips whose titles contain the lyrics

then they will line up in the arrangement

If I remember well, there is a way to make appear it on the help window (bottom left), by rightclicking on scenes or clips...(?)

You can do it by adding a lesson folder to your session. The lesson folder should be named "(Session Name) Lessons", with a .txt file inside called "LessonsEN.txt". That way, when you open the right hand drawer in live, you'll get whatever you wrote in the Lesson file.

For an example of how to do it, check out my Racks Lesson:

Hope that's helpful.
