Novation Remote 25 / Live 4

Post by Desved » Thu Nov 25, 2004 9:23 pm

Hi ,

I'm probably overseeing something but when I try to implicate the MIDI controller knobs of my Remote 25 ,nothing happens.

when I assign keyboard keys I can assign them no problem.

On the templates of the remote 25 there's a version of Ableton 2 but i'm working with 4.0.4.

any hint ??

thx

Yes, best hint is to make your own template (or switch to another template), because the Live template preset that comes with the Remote25 is actually empty! In v1.0 at least, they may have fixed it in newer versions

Template?

Post by Desved » Fri Nov 26, 2004 4:01 pm

ah ok , time is not on my side at this moment but I might go for it in a couple of weeks and see if I can come up with something that works.

I asked the question to novation but didn't got an answer yet.

I read something about keeping the controller and keyboard separate but I would like to make my investment of the remote 25 a bit acceptable.

Thx...till later....

frank

15 minites of work and you have your own template.

also, I know also for sure if they would make a ableton template
i would change totally to my own needs.

greetinz..

Honestly, you can make your own, totally custom to your needs in a matter of minutes. Wiggle a knob/fader and see what the screen says. If it says "no control" then just go into edit, scroll through the parameters and set them to taste, hit save, back into play mode and you're golden. To be honest I'd find a Live template pretty useless as I'm always changing things, especially max and midi values of controllers. It's a cinch to program, if you ain't doing so you've wasted the better part of your money and you're missing out on a loooot of fun!
