anyone use Artillery 2?

Post by Jekblad » Thu Dec 18, 2008 6:14 am

it looks so cool, is it fun to "play" your effects like so?

I've been looking for tape stop turntable emulation on the mac so i thought this would be good for that too.

Effectrix looks wicked too but i won't to be able to do stuff "live"....

If anyone has any experience please share.

I use it, I love it. I use Effectrix too, and it can be used "live" as well.

I use Artillery 2 inside Deckadance, and both running inside Live with Effectrix on deck directly in Live. Loads and loads of fun to be had.

I don't play the keys all that well, more of a one-handed melody guy with input quantize and step record man myself. I am a music theory kind of composer, but for live performance, Artillery 2 is my keyboard instrument.

Artillery 2 is the closest I'll get to playing the music I compose on a keybed unless I get better.

I use both. Effectrix is more for productions and Artillery for performance - I do both but if I had to choose 1 plugin it would be Artillery.

Sugar Bytes are the bomb.

I've got this and effectrix and Vogue as well from Sugar Bytes. If I could have one effect plug-in, it would be Artillery2 for sure. It's great not only as a repeater/glitcher, but also for bread 'n butter effects like chorus, delay etc. Very low cpu and sounds good.

i was up till 2am playing with the demo's for both.

Effectrix is great for plug and play, but after i got my mind involved artillery is clear winner.

SO awesome and fun.

Sadly i still need a standard bread and butter synth (zebra2/aclchemy/operator) so it's going to have to wait...

i think there is a free version with CM magazine. i go look

The CM version has 6 effects. Fortunately, the only one I wanted was the looper. YAY!

Ya the CM version is very nice. Less effects, but you still all the modulation it looks like.
