Hi all, just wondering if anyone has an opinion as to which of these you like better? I'm replacing a Peavey PC1600x (remember those) that has served me well for many years sitting on top of my original Nord Lead 1.
I'm considering either:
1) Replacing (moving) my Nord Lead and putting a MPK49 in it's place. The cons are that I love the Nord Lead pitch stick and mode wheel and will miss having it right in front of me, as well as having 61 keys as opposed to 49.
2) Keeping the Nord Lead and putting the MPD next to it. The con here is that the MPD will be off to the side.
I also hope to bring whichever one out live and that may be a good reason to go with the MPK (to have a kb). However I also like the additional pads and dedicated bank switches of the MPD. Note I can't really play a kb, mostly use it to trigger things. Decisions, decisions...
