midi program change

Howdy

Does live respond to midi program change #'s? My Alesis dmpro uses midi program change to change "kits", and I was wanting live to also bring up sample banks based on these same program change numbers.

as each on of my songs has a different set of sounds that I am triggering with my dmpro into live.

Respond to program changes or send them? For info about program changes search the pdf manual for....you guessed it..."program change"

I need it to "respond" to program change numbers

I want to bing up different sample banks with the same program change messages that I use to change presets with my other gear in my rig. dmpro, eventide, etc.

It seems like a basic function of all midi gear, and a function that is vital to the way I perform. But I'm starting to think that "Ableton live" doesn't work this way.

Please tell me that I'm wrong.

Yes, each clip can change bank, sub-bank, & patch.
