Editing Video

Post by pocketdrummer » Thu Dec 18, 2008 8:07 pm

Is there a way to just edit video without having to reconvert it? Like, can I chop off the end of a video and just save it as is without having to lose compress the already compressed file format?

I don't think you lose video quality when you render it out of Live with the proper settings.

Yes. It is possible. Chop off the end of the video that you don't want. Find the spot where you want the chop, hit command + E, the delete the bit you don't want.

Render the video out of Live. Wa-la.

Virtual Dub?

(to the other guy. Anytime you compress something that is already compressed, you lose quality. I'm pretty sure I'll have this problem with any program)
