OSX 10.5.6, Ableton 7, Oxygen 8?!
Hey guys,
Anyone have their Oxygen 8 working with the most recent updates of OSX and Live (7.0.12)? Mine seems to be recognized by my computer (the new macbook pro), Ableton, and Reason, but nothing seems to actually let me use my Oxygen.
Notes, pitchbend, nothing works. I've gotten my UC33e and my Trigger Finger to work just fine, and the Oxygen 8 works for 1 second after specifying the port in Reason, but that's it.
Any ideas? Thanks.

Hmmm... for the Oxygen drivers dunno, I updated them sometime ages ago - maybe a year or longer ago, haven't touched them since. Certainly since the last few 7.0x versions of Live, the drivers haven't been touched. If you know where I can check the installed driver version, I can check for you...?
As for the rest, I also have the latest OSX 10.5.6.

i had a similar problem with mine tonight. launched live 7.0.10 and it worked how it was suposed to. then when i went back to launching 7.0.14 it worked again. My problem was that it didn't recognise "all in's for midi input but worked if i specifically chose the keystation midi driver for the oxygen 8, or my MPD 24 for that case. Weird. I suggest opening the midi tab in preferences and try toggling a few settings whilst hammering the oxygen 8 keyboard.

Alright, so it looks like with the new Macbook Pros (touchpad, this fall), the keyboard (version 1) will only work if plugged into a powered USB hub. It "powers on" from the bus, but it won't actually work unless you use the hub.
Ugh. Wtf. First my presonus firebox couldn't be bus-powered, now this. And it's not even like I can just use the AC adaptor for this and plug it in directly. I have to use the hub.
I guess this is apple's problem, which sucks, cause there's no changing this.

That's crazy, eh? Do you think your MBP could be a dud? I mean the Oxygen and the Firebox both should be able to be bus-powered. Do get the same effect if the MBP is running off battery or off power adaptor?cocoajesus wrote:Alright, so it looks like with the new Macbook Pros (touchpad, this fall), the keyboard (version 1) will only work if plugged into a powered USB hub.
