Beat needs some breaking up, its too simple atm I think, hats could do with some more emphasis, theyre too quiet at the moment i think.

nice choice of sample, what is it? Maybe rather than just playing the whole sample thru the background, errr cut the trumpets out, do something with it, dunno :< experiment, otherwise it just sounds like u got this song and just put a heavier beat over it. Like u said 15% done tho, so dunno what u r planning

Yeah, great use of sample.. jst my kind of music... of course, it needs a lot more work, but as you said only 15% done... Good work so far though, but I would have used more organic sounding drums, just my 2 pennies.

Nice sample, I think the beat has too much swing though, it doesn't quite mesh with the vocals when it first comes in.

your beat is fire for being your first track. Kinda reminds me of "kanye west" stuff, but nowhere near as cheesy or sped up. I disagree with only being 15% done. I think it is a solid beat waiting for a solid mc to get busy on it. Obviously, it would need some re-arrangement so the vocal samples would integrate with the mc, etc.....but i think you have a keeper. Although, this track definately needs some change ups/slice ups in the drums and maybe a few new sounds if it is to stand solely as an instrumental. keep on rockin.

I think it's pretty solid too, at least after the aforementioned adjustments and variations to the drums. Keep it up.
