Live 7 failing to load after upgrade (mac 10.5.6)

I just migrated my OS from OSX 10.4.11 to 10.5.6 as well as upgraded my MacBook from a early 2007 model to shiny new silver one. Everything else is running as smooth a silk except Ableton live, it gets to "initializing the application" and fails right away.

I have tried trashing the preferences, unlock.cfg, and disabling all plugins, as well I have updated to the latest 7.0.14. Still, no dice!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No problems here using live 7.0.12 and 7.0.14 after update from 10.5.5 to 10.5.6.

the problem was due to the melodyne rewire drivers in the propellerheads directory under application support (likely not compatible with leopard). After I trashed these, everything loaded up just fine, except melodyne (for now).
