Live 4.04 automation-bug

well, its very easy to reproduce:

1.
put a rektor ens with trigger-buttons in a midi track, i.e. dsq from the synth-seqeunced-folder, from the original-lib.

2.
set in the (reaktor) properties the automation-id-number from one of the mute-trigger buttons to a number below 128.

3.
go to arrange, start record, and mute-unmute this button several times in a slowly way. show the automation, you willl see a lot of sqaures, all works fine.

4.
now do the same but mute-umute very fast. instead sqaures you get triangles, which not work. (if you put them manuelly and draw it to a higher point they work.)

Hp Pavillion, amd 2400, 512, 60GB, XP, SP1.

why i dont get any answer? am i the only with this problem?

I had the same things with my midi controller...

live's automation must work at a certain frequency and if you're pressing faster than that frequency, live just drops some automation points (well, at least I guess that's the problem). maybe you give em a call about that?
well, that's when you use your mouse :-)
still, this is a minor bug and live is still the best progr. in da world!
(been reading too much negative things on this forum recently...)
for me everything workes perfectly (compared to that emagic S H I T !)

you right, live is the best and i guess the abletons work really hard and there are too much negative words here.
and of course, lives automation-concept is some univereses better than the emagic or steinberg trash, with this "magic-lines" you never had recorded.

yup, well, is a small bug and i can life with it (now, i know the reason;)).

and reaktor and live are a powerful combination. I've been hearing a lot about the reaktor plugin. now I got it and I'm hooked. first time I feel I don't need hardware synths anymore. but I'm getting there slowly. I'm acting like every ensemble would be a hardware synth that I'm carefully checking out... In the beginning I had some crashes, but now I get to know what is possible and what not. but I guess in a short time everything will be possible. I mean the guys JUST implemented midi! and well, there are some bugs, but you can get along with the program... and still I have not lost a single note and I've used the program since version 1.5. again. with logic I've lost BIG arrangements and a LOT of time!!

Strange stuff,

I'm using Reactor and Absynt along LIVE on an "out-of-box" laptop, and I can't reproduce that glitch. You probably downloaded some stuff and installed some quirky soft? For live clubbing performs with no bad surprises, usa a PC without any mods; just LIVE, Reactor and whatever else sound soft you install. I had some nasty surprises playing in a club on "some PC" where I didn't know what the other user had been up to before; the f***in set copped out on me an nobody was happy.

my machine is an all-in-one, means: music, internet, office, etc. . but i dont believe, this is the problem, because i have no music-problems except this. and i guess, it is waht warabunga said: the frequence to create envelopes is too slow. anyway, in a club-situation i wouldnt need this feature, because i hear the mutes, etc., exactly i do. its only for arranging, but meanwhile i agree to warrabunga: its not so important, if the abletons fix this, ok, if not, is ok also.

yup, reaktor and live is the optimal combination for me too, and i need no hw anymore, maybe a second computer, because, if you use a lot of ensembles and fx at the same time - you will see the border of your system faster than you like. Except this i´m really happy and i can life with some small bugs in both programms.

yeah, I've JUST got myself a powerbook with the monitor broken for very cheap! yeah, this will be my plugin computer... aight :-)
