In Ableton anything involving 'click-and-dragging' is incredibly sensitive/erratic when using a graphics tablet. I believe this is something to do with absolute positioning. The slightest movement will send the slider/ zoom flying along, so for example, the initial click/press is fine up until the point it is moved even a millimetre, at which point it will move at a consistent speed until either i let go, or it reaches the end.
Is this a hardware or software problem specific to myself, or has the use of such input devices just not been factored into Ableton's design? And of course, is there any way I can fix the problem?
Many thanks,
Idiron
Graphics tablets in Ableton
Hi - don't know which tablet you're using, but Wacom, for instance, is currently not supported in Live.

Can I use my Wacom Tablet/Digitizer Pen with Live.
Live does not support these input devices. You may experience parameter jitters and other problems.

Re: Graphics tablets in Ableton
how many wacom threads do we need? honestly this is just stupid.
Re: Graphics tablets in Ableton
Its not about how many we need its about how many already have been posted and how long ago its been requested.Rosko wrote:how many wacom threads do we need? honestly this is just stupid.
These threads have been posted over time, and the point of upping them all is to make it clear that there is a real need for wacom support.
