Beaten up by the Police.....second time in three years!!!!!!
Good question!! I don't know the answer to that one.Lo-Fi Massahkah wrote:Erhmmm. Why were you beaten up in the first place?.m
Getting seriously beat up by officers in 2005 may have something to do with it.Lo-Fi Massahkah wrote:What was the tragic cause of your fear for the officers of the law?

If you run, they'll assume the worst.
Don't run.
Not defending... justing sayin' - it's the way it is, and you can't change it (might have the same reaction on their side of the fence).
Don't get me wrong, when I was a punk-ass kid I got "unfairly" harrassed by the cops too, and trust me... a fat Alabama sheriff will "bend" the law quite a bit when no one's around.
Been told I could just "disappear" on more than one occasion... illegally booked without charge on more than one occasion... illegally searched on more than one occasion... illegally photographed and printed on more than one occasion.
And we (my friends and I), while mildly different by Alabama standards (but pretty normal in most other places), were very far from being anything truly criminal.
But, I knew enough not to run (unless I was ABSOLUTELY innocent and positive I'd get away, which you can do if the cop's 300 pounds, which in Alabama they can actually be).
I didn't want shot.
But honestly, if it's bad... just leave. It's not worth it.
I've had multiple experiences with cops that had no idea what freedom was, the American constitution was (not valid in your case)... just fat dudes with guns who didn't like anyone different, and used their power illegally to fuck with people. Not worth it.
Go to some place where you can be you. Big planet, you know?

infinite density, zero volume
You did. You ran away because of a control. You acted like a criminal who wants to flee.photonal wrote:both times *I didn't*!pixelbox wrote:Stop breaking the law and you won't get beat up.
It's ridiculous, that policemen have to risk their health, to stop such people. They have guns and the criminal scum knows, that they are not allowed to use it and therefore are running away if possible.
IMO it would be correct, that not the policemen have to risk their health and lifes if someone breaks the law, but the one who breaks it!
1. First the policeman has to shout "Halt, Polizei!".
2. Immediately followed from a shoot into the air if the person doesn't stop. (during he yells "Halt, Polizei" he already is allowed to draw the gun).
3. And then the sharp shooting on the fleeing person is allowed. "Feuer frei!"
a lot of vague answers from OP.
Curiousity is killing this cat here.
So in '05 you got beat up by cops for unknown reasons, and then lost the court case for such 'mindless violence'.....
Then it happened again?
Are you leaving out maybe resisting arrests? Assaulting officers. We already know you are a runner. Cops, as much as they are looked upon as the bad guys, they don't REALLY walk around looking to beat people up, there is too many legal rammifications. I smell BS.

Yeah, you told us that. How come they did that to you? I hesitate to believe that they just walked up to you and started punching.photonal wrote:Getting seriously beat up by officers in 2005 may have something to do with it.Lo-Fi Massahkah wrote:What was the tragic cause of your fear for the officers of the law?

It seems odd that the OP would post his account on this forum.
He is making allegations which may or may not be true, there could be further legal issues arising from this on his side, or on behalf of the police force and posting this account on here might be detrimental to his defence, or be a problem if he wants to take legal action of his own.
If it were me, I would take a breathe, keep a lid on it for a while and see how things pan out a bit more before posting my personal account on an internet forum. I know that sometimes we all need to vent, but I wouldn't recommend that anyone should do this on a public internet forum. Tell a friend, tell a counsellor, tell your mother. But tell an internet forum ?? Seems odd to me.

OK, ableton has a .com website, but that doesn't mean anything posted here needs to be in English, in fact it's a German company. Considering what some people post on these here forums, this isn't that bad a topic. If you don't like the thread, then don't read it. If you can't read the language, then use an translator, if you can be bothered. But please don't expect everything to be in English.beats me wrote:This happened TO YOU and you felt important enough to post and you can't tell us the situation in English? Are your memories only in German?
