Ableton forgets VST presets

I have a whole bunch of the latest VSTs (legit and supported versions) which don't seem to work in Ableton Live. After I choose a preset in a VST, Live forgets it and resets to a default preset when I playback. Does anyone know a fix / workaround to this? I'm using Vista.

Hi Jorg,

Rob Papen : Albino 3
Imageline : Morphine, Toxic Biohazard, Poizone
G-Force : Imposcar
All HomeGrown Software Products

All lose presets (and are therefore inoperable) in Live as I work on a tune. Ther are others and I suspect that it's the same issue.

I use: Dell XPS M1530, Vista Premium, 4Gb RAM

U-he software (Zebra 2.5) works okay so i've been using that

Hi Objectman,

there are no known issues of preset-loss with the plug-ins you mentioned. Are you sure you haven´t accidentally activated "Program change" in the clip box?
Could you try to reproduce the problem with one of the plug-ins once more and send a short sample-Liveset to [email protected]?

I've sent a sample to the address you mentioned. I'm not sure what "Program Change" is, plus I run Live as administrator on vista. Looking forward to a speedy solution/s as I have a few jobs on.

I guess support will take weeks to answer this one - but in the meantime - does anyone know what Jorg means by "Program change" - maybe I'm doing this?

In Clip View show the Notes Box, in the lower left corner of the Notes Box is a drop down menu called Program Change Select. I guess for your problem that Program, Sub-bank and Bank should all be set to "None".

I've got the same problem, only when i assign a poizone preset to a midi track and save the set,upon loading the set again it reverts to the default preset.I'm however using a demo version of poizone from the image line web site.It could be an issue of restricted functionality i guess.I would really like to buy this synth but it is pretty useless if it forgets the presets.Can anyone report using live with poizone or other image line vst's with any success?I have tried the image line forum but you cannot post there with only a demo version so its a catch 22.
