drum racks + multiple outputs

Post by bitmap » Sun Dec 28, 2008 1:40 am

hey there,
is it possible to route each slice in a drum rack to a separate output?
does that make sense?
say i have a group of sounds in a drum rack and i want to send some to output 1 and others to output 3 on my firebox... can it be done inside of a drum rack?
if so, how?
thanks.

You could use return tracks. Routing every single slice to a different output that way would be a pain, but if you just want to have different slices to the first 4 outputs on a firebox, just make 4 return tracks that each go to those outputs and send each slice to the appropriate return track.

place a external audio effect plug after each chain, then assign desired output

if you want a separate mixer channel for it, make a new audio track, select monitor in, goto input and then select drum rack, under that then select what pad you want, and then select ext. out and then pick the channel you want it to run out on your souncard.
