Still BSODs with BCF and Nocturn and the 3.02b beta of Automap unless I switch instant mappings and any other MIDI clients off. :(

Anyone else use a BCF or BCR and a Nocturn?

just got an email from Novation and they want to see the Windows crash log... let's see if this gets us anywhere. Fingers crossed.

If you want, report your crash too!

Speaking to Navation they never heard of I before I had it on 2 different DAWs so it must be a software thing. If you don't have a BCR you should be good.

[Slightly OT] Have any of you tried the Nocturne together with a Remote SL series product. Can the co-exist hassle free?

It works with the new automap 3 protocol, launched at NAMM. More precisely, : it will work with the pro version Read this from the novation website :
"Automap 3 Pro will be available very soon for £19.99. In addition to the features above, it includes:
* Multiple device support
Automap 3 Pro supports multiple devices, so numerous Novation controllers can be used side by side."

no,that's not true.i've been using the remote sl 37 AND nocturn simultaneously.the thing is this:one has to be in MIXER automap(and renamed in your computer audio/midi preferences:on Mac it's in your applications folder).the other one has to be in PLUGIN automap.but you're limited to two devices,IF that's a limit.
less is more........less fuels your creativity.....more,or too much is distracting you,with the biggest question being:what should i use
as Neo said in Matrix Reloaded:the problem is choice

yes and to add to your comment, tetra, the Nocturn HAS to be the one using the automap port. It has no interface without it. And this is where folks might feel like there's "too many cooks in the kitchen" or some such expression. The point of this initial post was to create a user remote script for the Nocturn. By simply plugging both in, Nocturn, takes the automap port. I don't think putting the SL on port 3 will offer a solution to this. So while Nocturn is in native mode, taking over a Macro, you can't use automap on your SL.

Supposing, you're of the mind that this is the ONLY reason to have the Nocturn-that it translates well to grouped devices, and not-so-well to eclectic plug-ins. Or suppose you want to use it for x-fader or clip controls. Unless you want to switch back and forth on the Nocturn itself, your SL would be sitting on the side, unable to stand-in for plug-in automapping. That is partially why people are just a bit peeved that Nocturn decided to SELL the automap pro 3.0. The standard 3.0 still will not support multiple devices in automap mode.
