na dont really need the synth, was thinking of having it to mess about with just.

i like the idea of the built in interface on it.

just thought be handy having it all in one thing, midi keyboard, interface and even a synth, even no i might not use that as much.

do u no of any other midi keyborad's with a build in interface?

i got this m-audio ozone midi keyboard/audio interface combo as a package with Live 3 back in the day. The combination of keyboard and interface is handy, but the latency is too big for live-use. so now I only use it as midi controller. Also I always hated to only have one stereo-output (thus no prelistening on headphones while performing).

I have xio. Not used it much since it hasn't established its place as chosen one in my selection of go to synths, and because the keys of the keyboard feel cheap, unlike the keys of their ReMOTE-series controller that I own too. I've never tried the interface, so can't tell anything about that, but what comes to using it plain midicontroller I'd say there are lot better ways to go about.

I have a Xio. It's definalty nice for the size and price. The interface is (I find) to be better than the m-audio fast track pro. Better latency, less noise and more possibilities - phatom power 12v, 24v, 48, and an amazing gain. You can even use batteries. The down side though, it could get a little confusing - there are tons of functions hidden behind a few knobs and buttons. It has only one XLR and one instrument input, that's it. It's enough for most of my uses, but if you do not need the synth I would look for an other keyboard/interface.

Behringer are also doing an interface keyboard thing.

The Novation X Station might be an option too and it gives you much better control than the Xio.

Still I thnk most people prefer a seperate interface.

i have too a xio and really like it. the midi is very good ( like all the novation products). and the possibility to use it as a synth is very interesting.
