LAIDBACK LUKE DROP EFFECT
LAIDBACK LUKE DROP EFFECT
sup guys currently working on a track and i learned how to reproduce the bass/lead sound that you hear in songs such as "show me love" and "bring the house down" by laidback luke.
My question here is in the song "bring the house down" there is an effect like a crash but it sounds like a wish wash sound that makes the drop more effective. I currently have that bass sound but i need something like that sound to make it more dynamic.
Possibly reverse crash, or crash gated for 4 loops? any ideas how to make this drop sound more dynamic?
much love

hehe I hear it under all the other shit. Its just pink noise dude and it lasts for 2 bars. Nothing special. It sounds sampled and pitched down a bit. Or it could be a bit filtered. But I think its the first. Also a lot of producers use this but with different effects and dynamics (a.k.a crescendo/decrescendo). But, his just simply cuts off.
Tips to take it further...
Try sampling a nice white and pink noise from one of your soft synths. Then, drop it in simpler.
After that I like a bit crusher and/or filtering.
Use the LFO on the filter to create some movement.
Likewise try doing some clip envelope stuff (LFO style) with the bitcrusher.
Then sample that.
Then Through some other FX on top until you have some nice tamber that is original.
This vid will help too.
