well ... they got kicked out... so did my grandparents...chrysalis33rpm wrote:3dot...it's a fucked up situation, yeah. And Europeans and Americans have plenty of blood on their hands, so who are we to talk? But we have to deal with this world as we found it, as we came into it, just like anyone. Sure, Israel, has to act. But the scale of the slaughter...and the complete denial that the Palestinians have any legitimate grievances, using the border fence as (yet another) land grab, choking the economy to the point where Gaza has become an open air prison....well, Israel does not make itself look any better than Hamas, frankly.
I don't have a solution, I do know it does not lie in rockets or tanks. Like it or not, the Palestinians were forced out of their homes and off their land- and until the state of Israel expressly acknowledges that and seeks to make genuine reparations, they have every reason to hate you. Yes, I know, it goes back way farther than the 20th century, and there are some truly insane violent motherfuckers who have preached in Islam over the years (as in all religions), and Jews have been the target of the world for a damn long time.
Anyway, I see your desire for peace and I respect that- I am afraid that there are many in your own government who do not share that desire, and are used to using the promise of peace to achieve their own ends. In truth, they are best served by war, like the neocons and their friends in the USA. Treating the Palestinians like they are subhuman will not bring you the result you seek. I know that you think your problem is with Hamas- but they cannot be separated so easily. The Palestinians elected, like it or not, Hamas to represent them. All you will do with all your bombs is make them hate you for decades longer.
It is extremely discouraging- but if the French, the British, and the Germans can live next door to one another today, well, there is hope for anyone.
ok...
I hate fucking politicians... they are cold and ruthless...
but...
in my government there are very very very few people that do not want peace...
there are some more that don't believe in it.. but want to...
and believe me NO ONE IS BENEFITING FROM THIS SITUATION !
especially not Israel.
and nobody is stupid enough to think that this will not create more hatred...
I personally do not agree with all their tactics and ways ...
but it's a democracy and I can vote and protest actively ...
I love my home... with it's flaws ...and if anybody... starts a serious war...
well .
..let's just hope nobody wants a WWIII because feels like it's coming up pretty soon...
Egypt ,Jordan were mortal enemies of Israel...now we live in peace...
I've been to both places... Sinai especially....
enjoyed myself greatly...
arab tourists...well... not so much...you see it's a pride thing with them...
once in a while I see Jordanian or Egyptian tourists here....
but they are all Christians...not Muslim...
BUT STILL - NO BLOODSHED !
economic and environmental projects...
everyday people need want peace....
except religious FANATICS !!! who are just ignorant...
in some places in the world ... people are taking religious fanatics very seriously...

you guys don't have a leg to stand on, you're out of line and we all know it. it's only due to Ableton's chill attitude towards OT and the schadenfreude of watching you fucks argue that these threads aren't deleted.3dot... wrote:yeah....tone...chrysalis33rpm wrote:go home tone.

if you had any politcal chops you'd take your lame observations to a real political forum. your level of discussion is sophomoric.

"The Israeli army was saying: 'This is the Israeli Defence Forces, we are asking all the people to leave their homes and go to the school. Ladies first, then men.'
"We decided to send the women first, two by two," he said.
First to step outside was the wife of his cousin, Rawhiya al-Najar, 48.
"The army was about 15 metres (50 feet) away from the house or less. They shot her in the head," he said.
The woman's daughter was shot in the thigh but crawled back inside the house, he said.
Where oh where is Iran?
they're busy hanging infidels and traitors...
and funding hate filled muslim terrorist organizations...
but they'll get back to you...
where do you live?
Never have truer words or image been spoken by anyone person. You see this picture happening above in EU? no, US? no, UK? no, rest of half way moral world with any minimal humanitarian standard whatsoever? No. Yet stone silence. You see Jews hanging non Jew Arabs in Jerusalem like this? No. You see CNN, BBC or FOX news glorifying and showing video of infidel heads being hacked off by knife and axe like Arab Al jazeera news network does? No, No, No, and No.
I make not a generalization here, but a totally non-biase observation of even moderate Muslims. Some of who I actually know where i live and dont understand.
I see in small town and big cities in US Canada and abroad these things and it is quite disturbing to me anyway.
9/11 Death - Muslim world cheering in streets, flags burning everywhere everyone happy parading.
Attack in Madrid Death- Moderate Muslim world, silence. No one in streets to protest such behavior.
Attack in London underground Death - Moderate Muslim world silence. No one in streets to protest such behavior.
Danish cartoon of Allah - Muslim world go damn crazy with protests to kill every non muslim infidel in sight burning everything overturning cars go crazy world wide.
Attack in Bali Death - Moderate Muslim world silence. No one in streets to protest such behavior.
Attack in Mumbai Death - Moderate Muslim world silence. No one in streets to protest such behavior.
But always remember, the holy Koran means peace to all. And any idiot that believe that must also believe Bush is a genius.
I think the picture above should be entitled peace, by the Muhammad way. Prophet? MOre like psychopath.

From what I understand, this was going on long before the rockets were fired into Israel, breaking Gaza's side of the peace agreement, Israel had already done it with some military maneuver or another.3dot... wrote:because they want Hamas to surrender...Machinesworking wrote:3dot, any idea why Israel was blocking food from coming into Gaza? I realize there's no easy answer to this, but what was the point? It certainly gave Hamas enough reason and anger to start with the rockets IMO.
and they want Palestinians to understand...this situation...no good will come from the HAMAS
that this situation where IRAN think they can build a rocket base in Gaza....(SOUTH)
taking advantage of political turmoil and grief of the Palestinians...
you see Egypt would not allow to fire from it's territory under it's current government...
this is...
adding to the one they already built in the country of Lebanon...(NORTH)
(re loaded in spite of UN and international forces...
smuggled from Iran/Russia to Syria to Lebanon...)
again taking advantage of Lebanon's weak government and lack of ARMY...
the Iranians are also trying to change the regimes in Jordan,Turkey and Lebanon into extreme Islamic regimes ...
in reality... the threat feels real....it's smells real... I guess it's friggin' reallll

Right, and the leaders that allow things to progress like that are generally guilty of war crimes.3dot... wrote: as I said...
you can throw rules out the door in battle....
ask any person you know who's been to a war
Countries that do not allow in the press are guilty of stifling freedom for 'safety'. There's no way around that.

Seem to recall Iran, and the most of the other muslim leaders sending deep sympathies, in fact I'm sure of it.Chang wrote: 9/11 Death - Muslim world cheering in streets, flags burning everywhere everyone happy parading.
So out of a city of 1 million, 2,000 cheer, yet all are branded evil.
My personal definition of why people do evil things, because they think they're going to stop some greater evil, so it's therefore justified! In almost every case, I find this to be true. Realize that the way you think about this is pretty much that muslims are evil.

it's a mentality... some things can not coexist....Machinesworking wrote:Seem to recall Iran, and the most of the other muslim leaders sending deep sympathies, in fact I'm sure of it.Chang wrote: 9/11 Death - Muslim world cheering in streets, flags burning everywhere everyone happy parading.

for example :
in the Muslim world (in this region anyways)...
there is this thing called "Honor of the family"... and it is protected in every way...
you see...
if you're a really really dedicated...
it's OK for you to KILL your sister if she "shames" your family....
like.. you know... the usual stuff...hanging around guys...
refusing to marry a pre-designated husband....
2 of these incidents that I've heard about...had happened in the last 3 months....
this is inside Israel...
and these are people that were jailed (the ones caught anyways,,,)
there are also bloody fights between Arab 'families' inside Israeli cities...
like Ramla...Lod...Jaffa....
when I was in the army... Yasser Arraffat was President of the PAu...
and we were in a middle of a peace process...
he had a helicopter so he could go from WestBank to Gaza...
and by the contract the Israeli government supplied the Palestinian Officers
equipment...
Fatah got boat loads of money from all over the globe to start making ready their new state...
good times...relatively speaking...
(Palestinan Officers,,,the now mostly DEAD Fatah organization in Gaza...
{...btw many were executed...
being thrown from a 10 story building in the center of Gaza ...head first}
anyways...
they were executing people left and right for this and for that....
our mentality can not coexist with that...
it cannot co exist with mass preachings and brainwash calling for the killing of Jews and Israelis...
(brainwash=the preachings are everywhere you go...
vans with Loudspeakers patrol the streets blowing messages on the street
slogans like "Have no fear Your dead child will be waiting for you in heaven he will bring you fruit when you will arrive there"...or....
"your dead child is now god's Canary"... etc etc etc
mass preachings at Mosques calling to annihilate us...some with pretty gruesome descriptions of how...
not to talk about the material studied at school...
and TV programs...
they do not refer to us as Israelis... they call us al Yahud.... )
what can I say...
they refuse to speak to us directly ...(hey thats something weird)
refuse to acknowledge our existence....
fire rockets at our towns...
this sad and tragic operation will give the citizens of Israel in the south
(frightened by rockets for 8 years now)
some temporary peace and quiet...
like I said ...
except for a the very very radical which are few
and do not control Israel...
nobody here will want to go to war....
this operation would not have been ...
if there were no rockets...
when Palestinians in Gaza get serious again and want to sit down and talk...
I'm SURE THEY KNOW that many countries will try and help figure it out...
and Israel would be the first in line...
for us and them...

you really make me laugh sometimes.Tone Deft wrote:you guys don't have a leg to stand on, you're out of line and we all know it. it's only due to Ableton's chill attitude towards OT and the schadenfreude of watching you fucks argue that these threads aren't deleted.3dot... wrote:yeah....tone...chrysalis33rpm wrote:go home tone.
