I´d like this setup: one BIG monitor for live (full hd 32") and a smaller one (22 is ok) for plugin (or max) editing

If I was a rich man...

Let just hope that Ableton doesn't take 2 years working in the serato partnership like the cycling74 one - when the serato partnership hits, there will be NO OTHER COMPETITOR, DJ, Remix, Production. Traktor will be like a toy.

Right i gotta try and slip out of this internet cafe without anyone spotting my live 8 hard-on!
Confused

Does serato as it stands even vaguely compare to tractor pro? - Ive used tracktor pro alot, never touched serato - I thought it was a bit in the dark ages still compared to tracktor, so rather wish they had teamed with NI instead.

Traktor is certainly a capable app for DJ'ing but nowhere near as stable as Serato in my experience (especially the PRO version as it stands!!), get "Scratch Live" or "ITCH & VCI300" rockin in ableton with VST effects and all and you've got a rock solid performer with limitless capability - the effects in Traktor become redundant so i'd take stability ALL DAY LONG!! (Not to mention FAAAAR superior support - Serato know how to treat their customers....as do Ableton :D )

Midi editor with step input, Groove, Foder tracks, X-fades, well, that's pretty much my wishlist, so, well, now I have to find some other wishes for Live9. =)

This looks GREAT!
Live + M4L, MacBookPro & Ultralite mk3. Plugins from Softube, Soundtoys, Eventide, 2CAudio, Cytomic, AudioDamage, OhmForce, FabFilter, SonicCharge, Waves, MadronaLabs, NI and ExpertSleepers. Oh, and a bunch of hardware... =D

hmmmm ... now im thinking...

any improvement to the overall sound?
any improvement to the quality of the effects/processors?
(does the reverb sound as a reverb? is the compressor a compressor?)

Full support for vista (=7) 64 bit?

I love it anyway

just a word about the Max/Msp integration :

for interactive audio installations with custom trigger / controllers (wiimote/iphone/dance mat/gamepad etc...) it's a very good news....

but as a pusher i can't resist to put this on the Live9 Wishlist :)
"VVVV integration for real time video synthesis motion detection and many more."

thx abs
really impatient to (beta) test Live 8

yep, if Jitter is supported in M4L
but you should have M4L + Max + Live8
to build your own VJ app
and ... Jitter programming is not so easy
this is why i mention VVVV in my previous post :)
fast & easy (and free FOR a NON COMMERCIAL USE)

whats wrong with traktor pro's stability, never had a problem myself. run it for hours on end. i find stability on traktor pro rock solid - as i do with ableton, and i use vista.
