Noob just ordered 7live LE box set

It should arrive next week, I play guitar and also have a kaossilator, the admin who validated my forum application mentioned the scale plugin for the midi part of the program, I would like to be able to plug one of those mini midi controller/keyboards in and have it so it only played notes in the scale/key I choose, anyone doing this? for a non keyboard playing guitarist it is a useful fuction and works well on the x-y pad of my kaossilator allowing me to jam along with anything from metallica to pink floyd hehe. It would be a great tool for using in composing too, because I would be able to solo with instruments other than my guitar . cant wait for the software to arrive.
