Session Drums

Post by light » Sat Jan 17, 2009 1:51 am

Hi

Ive recently bought a new laptop running Vista. I went to install Live 7 and when I did I no longer appear to have the drum rack I previously had. I used to have a whole collection of kits, kick and snare drums, cymbals and toms etc. Now I only have 4 kits which I don't like and an entry for "Current Project (Temp)". I have been uninstalling and reinstalling the application all day as well as trying anything else to recover the drums but Im not getting anywhere.

I would really appreciate some advice as Im sure this is something really simple.

In the preferences under the library location is pointed in the right place and under the products tab everything is unlocked. Under the Live Packs tab I have Sampler, Tension, Operator, Analogue, Electric, Basic and the live lessons all installed.

Thanks

Hi,

did you possibly move some of the Session Drums presets around?

Did you try searching your HD for any of the Session Drums Kit names, like Kit-ColdTightRoom or Kit-ClubSizzle?

Two more questions, if the above doesn't help:
* Which version of Live do you use?
* Open the LIve Preferences and go to "Live Packs" - do the Session Drums show up in the list, and if yes, what version number do they have?

Hi Daniel

Thank you very much for getting back to me promptly. I am running version 7.

Whilst it says under "products" that session drums and drum machines is unlocked they do not appear in either the "live pacts" tab nor within the presets on my hard drive. More worryingly if I search for the kits you've listed within my HD I can't find them either..

Hi, I'd recommend to download the latest Live 7.0.14 and then install Session Drums from the DVD. Live 7.0.14 includes some important Session Drums updates that will be applied automatically during the installation.
