Alesis Control Pad / Midi drop out

I've set up my Alesis Control Pad to record drums.
When i'm having the "record quantize" enabled there are lots of notes missing.
I guess it's probably because 2 pads have been played at the same time.
If I switch off the record quantize, there is no problem. All the notes are there...

But it would be nice to be able to record with quantization.

Is there a way of getting round this? i've tried to find other topics about this...

Difficult to get it spot on with the control pad I've found...
