Upgrade now or later?

Post by bogh » Sun Jan 18, 2009 3:21 pm

I'm currently on Live 6 and trying to decide whether to upgrade now or wait.

I defeinitely want to get Live 8, but haven't been able to find out if there is any price difference if I upgrade to 7 first, or directly to 8.

The 6-7 upgrade is €99
The 6-8 upgrade is €199

But I haven't been able to find the 7-8 upgrade price (for Live alone) - anybody?
Will it be €99 or more?
If it is €99, I'd like to upgrade right away...

Thanks,
Morten

I found the answer in anonther thread.

For anybody else who's wondering what the best deal is - Upgrade NOW!

After upgrading to Live 7, my new upgrade price to Live 8 is €49

So that's €50 saved compared to upgrading directly from 6-8.

and then 7 -> 8 is only 49 eur ?

instead of 199 for 6 -> 8 ?

just to be sure....

Yes, I finally purchased the upgrade to 7 to save money when 8 comes out.
Plus, I had a $50 off coupon from the NanoKontrol :)
You'll save money by upgrading now.

I was trying to work this out as well. I have Live 6 and Operator and I'm thinking of upgrading to the boxed version of the suite.

According to Ableton shop my price is:

399 Euro for upgrade from Live 6+operator to boxed Live 7 suite
379 Euro for upgrade from Live 6+operator to boxed Live 8 suite

strange but true.
