Unable to record audio from Reason

I have rewired Reason into Live 4.04 on my laptop but when I attempt to record the audio (16 bit) from Reason, within 2 seconds a message flashes up telling me that disk space is low and recording will be stopped.
I have an 18 gig hard drive with 4 gigs of free space left. Has anyone else experienced this? What is the solution?

Witch platform are you working on? (pc, Mac)
did you select a temp folder for audio rec in the prefs?

Thanks for your response. I'm using a PC, Windows ME. I was using the default temp folder and then changed that in the preferences to one I created on the C drive but the problem still remains.
