Hey Everyone,
I was thinking of getting a Xone 2D for midi control over ableton. Anyone have any experience or opinions on this device?
Thanks
Ableton + Allen & Heath Xone 2D

it is quite good choice i think. lot of different controlers, buttons, faders, rotary, crossfader. you will also get multi i/o soundcard and midi clock. if you don't need soundacrd and midi clock 1d is just midi controler and it is a lot cheaper.keyboardcowb0y wrote: I was thinking of getting a Xone 2D for midi control over ableton. Yeah one of the big selling points for me is the built in soundcard. I like the idea that when I expand my equipment and say buy a mixer, I can easily integrate the 2D with it.
Hopefully ill be able to get my hands on one soon, I went to what was supposed to be one of the biggest and best music stores around (Toronto Canada), and the guys in the DJ section knew nothing. I asked about midi controller for DJing for controlling software like ableton, and they looked at me like I made it all up, then sent me over to look at keyboards. Needless to say it was frustrating.

right. it gives you almost unlimited choices of mixers, that true. if you want two separate devices and wider choice of mixers go for 2d.keyboardcowb0y wrote:Yeah one of the big selling points for me is the built in soundcard.
